Exhibition and Events Sales Manager
£30,000 per annum plus commission

Our client is a small but globally active organisation established for over 25 years.
In 2018 this company held events in Bangkok, Dubai, Toronto and London; past locations have included Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Barbados, Las Vegas and San Diego.
Aside from the global property industry, some of the brands they have worked with include Bentley Motors, Grohe, The Daily Telegraph, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Kohler and Samsung.
Our client are looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong track record of success to work from their converted mill house office in Chelmsford selling event space, commercial partnerships and sponsorships for their business-to-business networking events and exhibitions connected to the world-renowned International Property Awards that they operate.
This company’s events are evolving and expanding so they are looking for someone who can take ownership of their responsibilities and build on the existing base. You’ll be speaking to property industry suppliers and luxury brands to give them the opportunity to meet their high-level audience of company owners and managers.
The majority of sales are by telephone, but there is also some face-to-face work at events.
Requirements for Exhibition & Events Sales Manager
- You will need to be hungry, pro-active and self-sufficient in generating leads and sales. You will be expected to start generating revenue rapidly.
- A background in event sales or related industries is very desirable as you will need an understanding of the processes and challenges involved. An existing collection of relevant contacts will also be beneficial.
- They work with companies from across the world so some non-standard working hours will be necessary to speak to clients from a variety of time zones.
This role offers a good basic salary together with strong commission packages.
