Role Summary:

Working as a key member of the Program Management team to enable successful quoting of potential future projects and successful delivery of current projects. Undertaking project planning of stand-alone small to mid-sized projects and aid planning on mid to large-size projects, for both current and future work alike. Manage multiple projects and programs, maintaining plans and forecasts. General responsibility for the creation, maintenance, review and administration of project planning activities and resource utilisation reporting and planning.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain tools to aid planning of current and future projects, ensuring consistency of approach
  • Assist in creating project plans for new proposals and existing projects through liaison with functional departments leaders and program managers.
  • Keep the project team up to date on progress to present to key stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects and programmes, maintaining strategic plans & forecasts for projects
  • Work closely with engineering supply chain to create schedules and help manage deliveries
  • Identify risks and opportunities within plans
  • Resource planning, updating resource utilisation forecasts to support planning both current and future project activities, liaise with functional areas to ensure forecasts are maintained.
  • Maintain project file directory database, ensure configuration control for project documents and reports.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. TS 16949, ISO 9001/2014).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum HNCHND third level qualifications.
  • Experience of project planning in an automotive manufacturing environment is essential
  • Good communication and professional presentation skills
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Computer literate in MS Office and/or Google suite
  • Proficient user of planning software (MS project or other)
  • A degree in an Engineering or Project Management discipline would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive product development process and activities beneficial
  • Knowledge of VBA
  • Awareness of budget and financial management
